Outrigger Australia got some great results at the National Titles on the weekend 14 & 15/05/11 with the Young guns winning gold which is a team consisting of 3 senior paddlers and 3 Junior (u16 & u19) paddlers. The youngest being Rhys Phillips 15yrs, Aaron Von Beinke 16yrs, Dylan Magee 19yrs, Beau O’Brien, Errol Von Beinke and steered by our Junior coach Peter Dorries.
Open Women coming in 2nd but awarded gold due to a team being DQ. Open men coming in 2nd with Chris Maynard steering.
Under 16 3rd, under 14 1st, Senior Master Mixed 3rd, open mixed 1st. Great effort by all the teams, it was our largest representation of teams out of all the regattas this year (18 teams nominated)
